Not 100% this is the right board but I know many feminists have objections to some aspect of marriage so I thought I would share.

I don’t think it’s ‘stealing history’ but it does feel slightly off to me to be giving straight couples the ‘right’ to a CP. CPs were a placating measure that was devised in order to maintain that same sex couples couldn’t get married. They were designed to be lesser to marriage, not equal.

@Superbirdtrooperbird no, that would come under "unreasonable behaviour" which is a reason CP can be dissolved. It just isn't specifically mentioned and separated out as it is in marriage.

Realistically, I think more marriages that end in adultery divorce for "unreasonable behaviour" anyway, as it's easier to argue?
