A transman in this case but ruling that gender identity is the decider, not sex, on where you get your kit off or go to the toilet.

“The Sixth and Seventh Circuits have since held that excluding boys and girls who are transgender from the restrooms that align with their gender identity may subject them to discrimination on the basis of sex under Title DC, the Equal Protection Clause, or both,” JudgeWright Allen also wrote.

So basically, Gavin was discriminated against because Gavin is of the female sex? Is this what this means?

I wonder if that case will be precedent when deciding where to house a TIF in.prison. Beware what you wish for, it may have unintended consequences.

They really have groomed vulnerable teenage females to participate in fucking the rest of us over and removing our rights haven’t they? Ffs. Ffs. FFS!!

'These policies do nothing to protect privacy' (from the article). Whose privacy would that be?

This is the same case that has been kicked down from the Supreme court to the state federal courts.

It has been pushed by the TRAs and will have been heavily funded to get to this stage.

Funny how they use a female to push their anti women agenda, isn't it? GavinG has been persuaded to think that GG is important, but is simply another useful idiot

So basically in Virginia, sex segregation is gone. Thats what this ruling means in reality. 'Gender' (which is in someones head) is more important than sex when talking about spaces that are segregated by sex. No space is segregated by 'gender', what would be the point in that given noone knows anyone elses gender anyway. Also, as someone without a gender identity at all, there is apparently nowhere for me to go if sex is not the decider.

Gavin is fairly rare for a transman, by all accounts I have read, transmen still use female spaces as they are aware of the danger the mens could pose for them.

I have decided to identify as agender as I don't identify with either male or female "gender identities"
I don't believe I have a gender identity.

Given that most service providers are now providing spaces/services on the basis of two genders, where should I go?

If they were provided on the basis of sex I would choose female as I am a biological woman. But I don't feel I identify as a fucking woman with all the womanly feelz. I often feel quite manly. Especially as today is #manfriday. (Joking aside I genuinely don't ever "feel" like a woman.)

Where does this conflation of sex and gender leave me?
