Is there anywhere that women can talk privately online?

I've recently had my Twitter account locked for speaking biological truths and I'm also aware that MN is being 'watched' so I'm a bit wary of what I post now. Was wondering if pp can no longer access Twitter, where do you go? I've heard about Mewe but don't really don't know what it is? Im not being paranoid but am cautious! Any ideas? Also PM me if you can't write it here.

floisme i did have a distinctly odd experience once at a feminist meetup, with someone that was on MN at the time, but was only really on there to either increase their media exposure, or to agitate/astroturf. Even in RL they were disingenuous. I'm not really sure what they were up to, but they presented themselves as a genuine MNer at the MN subgroups that met up on that day.

You can't really trust anyone online, I'm afraid.

So I guess what Thoth is saying means that it might be on topic to talk about IRL privacy as well.....................................................................

Thoth well, yy but it's usually easier to tell in person. I do still think personal recommendation through someone you know in RL is a good way to find groups. Taking into account six degrees of separation, then in theory we should all be able to find a RL group to attend.
And although some posters can sustain a disingenuous campaign on MN, I think most are easily identifiable as cfs; gfs or trolls.
The interesting aspect of MN is it doesn't have screeds of rules yet there are so many unwritten ones that it's easy to see the posters that don't fit. To misquote Sesame Street, one of these posters is not like the others.

Thoth it just made me think I didn't watch enough Sesame Street with DS when he was small. He wouldn't recognise that reference yet it was such a formative part of my childhood!

Note the dynamic between Milo and Julie, they disagree vehemently on many topics (mainly feminism!) - yet they are joshing around together - they can actually have a dialogue.

A general comment in reply to some comments up thread - a combination of public and private is actually preferable. It's not an either/or situation. I only do a bit here for the peak tranzing of others. But the TRAs do a lot of the work FOR me these days. They are pretty obvious with their misogyny and motivations.
