Why is there specialist Trans training?

So agree with Sweary's earlier comment....

How have they managed this? Does seem really strange.....

*That there is even trans training is weird, no? We had diversity training which covered everything every year when I was a civil servant, all the protected characteristics were done together on one day. Why is gender reassignment elevated beyond other protected characteristics?

Maybe we should ask when the City of London police had their sexuality training, or religious training, or fucking woman training?*

What training is this - I must've missed the original comment?

A lot of people need woman training I think

I'm in Education and had to do separate Trans training on top of my Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Prevent training.

I just didn't really understand why it had to be separate training, I guess. A lot of it was repetitive. I stayed focused by circling all the (many) typos and grammar errors. Handed it back to my manager as instructed. Turns out she'd written it. Oops.

I was going to say because it is promoted by men for men and men are the most important in society
But you have the likes of Susie Green so that may break my theory

Exactly. I think women seriously need to look at setting this up as outreach work. Real gender neutral, respecting women, understanding the issues women face training. No trans/non binary shit.
