In particular this video, where the Labour Party suggest that changes to the GRA are just the start, they're going after the EA too and if you have any reservations you're like an 80s homophobe.

Dawn won the award last night. Who could ever have predicted that?

Oh not me! What a total shocker.

How on earth do people get any gratification from such fakery? How would that make you feel good about yourself? Don't understand people like this.

Ereshkigal · 09/06/2018 14:48

She thinks she deserves any plaudits, prizes etc for being such a morally correct ally.

woman formally

Well Caroline Lucas writes "transwomen are women"
Teresa May tells pinknews shes on the case self id
The libdem LGBT group twitter feed is completely potty

Which party do you suggest?

TalkToTheHandMeMeMe · 09/06/2018 15:29

This is why I didn't do star charts with my children, and why I am not into medals and awards given by others.

The whole thing is designed to make people work hard, whilst those who win do so via...

Look at the reporting around David Beckham, look at the lengths his team go to for his knighthood.

A load of Emperor's.

TalkToTheHandMeMeMe · 09/06/2018 15:34

Enjoy it whilst it lasts Dawn. I suspect you along with others will leave a legacy to your name that will not be the one you imagined it to be.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 09/06/2018 15:39

Which party do you suggest?

There in lies the conundrum unfortunately- a load of gutless wonders in all the parties

TalkToTheHandMeMeMe · 09/06/2018 15:47

gutless wonders nodding dogs or self serving

People who chase power should not be in power.
Power corrupts.

Pratchet · 09/06/2018 15:53

Yy and because Dawn is a woman, the blame will fall harder on her and Stella Creasey, Caroline Lucas and the like, rather than Corbyn, Owen Jones, Jonathan Bartley, Vince Cable. It won't be about the men who gave our rights away to other men. It will be about the women who supported them, while the men, trans otherwise, get off scott free.

And in other news the Labour Party is huffing and puffing about Corbyn being made to look bad on the latest Tracey Ullman show.

It isn't a particularly funny sketch (mainly because the impersonation of Corbyn isn't very good)

Gove, May and other Tories were targets too - none of them have complained to the BBC.

LassWiADelicateAir · 09/06/2018 16:26

Tracey Ullman's Corbyn sketch attracts antisemitic slurs - News - British Comedy Guide
www.comedy.co.uk/tv/news/3121/tracey_ullman_jeremy_corbyn_sketch/

Such is the level of delusion in the Labour Party they are accusing David Baddiel (a Labour supporter ) of having written the offending sketch to discredit Corbyn.

Oh and in another piece of news opinion polls put the Conservatives 7 points ahead of Labour.

How is the Labour/Corbyn summer music gig going?

Jeremy has sons to carry on the Corbyn dynasty ready to move into Buckingham palace.Hmm

How is Corbyn doing in polls?

All the fault of the press and nothing to do with the behaviour of the Labour party?

nauticant · 09/06/2018 16:40

Jewish comic David Baddiel has been accused of writing the sketch, despite having no involvement in the show

They decided to blame it on a Jewish bloke! This stuff really writes itself.

TalkToTheHandMeMeMe · 09/06/2018 16:43

Are members still leaving in droves?

Terfulike · 09/06/2018 16:53

Well there's a fair few on this thread for starters I dare say

Popchyk · 09/06/2018 18:43

Labour never actually seem to do anything, do they?

Apart from whinging constantly that the BBC is unfair, that the Tories are awful, why can't something be done by someone else?

Maybe if they got up off their arses and actually did something positive then it would be reported positively in the media. Every Labour politician in the south east could take in one of the families affected by the Grenfell disaster. Hell, they could even put them in their second homes and then they wouldn't even have to see them at all. Dawn Butler has two London homes, one of which was paid for by us.

But no, it is all talk with Labour, which is ironic considering how quick they are to silence women.

TalkToTheHandMeMeMe · 09/06/2018 18:48

With that £14,000 US trip, had she travelled Economy flights and hotels, Dawn could have used most of it to pay the annual rent for someone involved in Grenfell.

Why do wealthy people claim expenses?

Popchyk · 09/06/2018 19:03

No, no, no Talk.

Far more important for Dawn to fly to LA for 9 days to attend an awards ceremony that she wasn't even nominated for.

It is the Labour way.
