"self id GRC" Vs "self id"

I have noticed the two things get conflated a lot. And indeed once it is easier to get a GRC, and dysphoria is not mandated, then that contributes to the whole social self-id phenomena that makes male intrusion of female spaces a whole lot easier.

But I do wonder if there is an upside to self id GRC. In that if it is a whole lot easier to get a GRC, then it becomes more reasonable to make it mandatory for such things as AWS? Or am I missing something?

A GRC makes a man legally a woman. If there is no gatekeeping and any man can declare he is a woman, it erases the class' woman'. It undermines The Equality Act.
Trans activists are also declaring that transsexuals are old fashioned and being phased out, and this is how they are doing it.

There's no upside.

Missing maybe... all of it?
Nothing like your second paragraph is being proposed to go alongside of the self-ID. Why would it? It is not a policy that will benefit women in any way, quite the contrary. And therein lies your answer.
