Two trans men on the show
Apparently they were born in the wrong bodies because they were "tom boys" when they were children
They didn't like pink or playing with dolls
This must mean they are male!
No one challenged their comments
It's possible to like what you want and still be the SEX you were born
sex and gender are not the same thing 😭

oh no! glad I wasn't watching. Ryan Tubridy wouldn't be capable of 1) seeing that and 2) pointing it out sensitively.

Were they on for any particular reason? I never watch any more, don't even find out who's on it.

I've had enough of Ryan Tubridy. The last few LLS I've watched have been utter tripe - there was one with a complete fuckwit who thought it was funny to try to pretend her dog was a "anxiety support dog" recently, undoing all the good work done in trying to get access rights for guide and assistance dogs

Between this and the Claire Byrne show the other night, I'm beginning to think that letting the tv go and sticking to whatever I can find online might be the better option.

Didn't watch the LL but I've been saw a load of ads on rte last week while watching the eurovision for a series thats coming up called my trans life, were they anything to do with that?

I get your point, but the 80s were nothing like that. It didn't really matter what toys you played with. "Tomboys" were definitely girls. And popstars wearing makeup were still men.

I don't watch the late late, it is absolute shite and Tubridy is insufferable. Gaybo was a dinosaur but at least he wouldn't have been afraid to state the bleeding obvious. I would hate anyone tuning in to think that the late late show and audience are representative of Irish people in general, because they absolutely are not.

Tubridy is a very poor interviewer imo. He seems to have a set agenda before he starts and is unable to veer from it. I don't know if you saw Tommy Tiernans chat show. The format was that he didn't know who his guests were before they came on so no way to prepare in advance. It was really good and TT seemed able to forge a really authentic connection with each guest. He'd be brilliant on the LLS compared to Tubs. He was also well able for Maria Steen on Brendan O Connors show earlier in the year.

Ryan Tubridy is a massive misogynist, so no surprise there.
