He deserves worse than unemployment

Good. Even if he gets his legal fees refunded (which I hope doesn't happen, but guess it might do?) he is still without a career. Hopefully he will look back on that night as something that ruined his life, though I doubt he'll ever have the self awareness to admit it was his fault.

I imagine the woman involved has also "paid an enormous price for the events of that night", in a different way, and because of things that were done to her, rather than things that she did.

This case is still resounding, but perhaps not quite in the way that his legal team meant.

He will find work, but perhaps in another country where the legal case is less well known.

Meanwhile for the very brave young woman who pursued her case. I really hope she is doing OK.

It must be very hard for her to keep seeing his bloody face and name in the media every farts end.
