Is anyone else annoyed with Germaine Greers banishment to the naughty corner? She's a living icon and she's just not appreciated properly. It's a real shame the way she is no-platformed and vilified - just because she says women don't have penis'.

I want to mess up like Germs. I want to be such a failure that I'm not only a towering figure of feminist thought but a respected Shakespearean scholar. I think she is amazing, any woman in 2018 that can say 'just because a man lobs his cock off and wears a dress, does not make him a woman' gets my respect. she is based in reality. She is awesome for being 80 years old. The channel four debate was very biased, from seating plans, to allocated time. I don't blame her for being sick of fighting, she has more than served her role for womens rights

Watched the debate today and thought she did great considering the set up and my gawd she looked fab! At 80! She's kinda dreamy really.

I've seen pics of her young and I think 'naahhhh' but when she hit middle age - HELLO! Think it's her gravitas that I love.
but I she can also switch to complete vulnerability in a second. I get the feeling she's a really compassionate person. God I really am in love aren't I?

I'll fight you for her word for word im the same! i dont even agree with her all the time but i just respect her so much that I just get all....in awe of her. This is a hippy phrase but I think she has a kind aura.

It was clear from the 'debate' that GG is on a different level (intellectually) from others in the panel. Essentially, imv, they 'used' her for their agenda - no respect was given. I did, however, get a distinct feeling during this that she was 'over it' and frankly I wouldn't blame her. I do think that if we (women, you know those of us indentifying with XX) are going to fight out corner we need to have GG 'in the team' but not at the face. In the same way as the TRAs don't want CJ as their 'face'.

GG has the understanding, experience and brains with all of this but doesn't, like it not have the 'face'. Sarah had that in the debate.

To finish, I thought GG looked absolutely fabulous and, as always, has the intelligence, integrity and experience to be fabulous. UNLIKE other members of the panel.

I'm behind Sarah in this. I also have a massive crush on her now. She's so on point! Better on TV than MN even.

I like and admire GC I don't always agree 100% but l wish I could be half as lucid and energetic as her if I make it to her age. She is a living legend!

And she was treated shamefully on that debate. She clearly has more intelligence and knowledge that Caitlyn Jenner, Munroe and Cathy put together.

Yeah she did say that. I don't agree with her on that- but I think it may have been exasperation at the level of debate tbh.
