Just saw this on Spiked about trans and education, it's a relatively good article and balanced, but first comment caught my eye...

Well that's the first time I've seen any comprehensible explanation of why women saying 'hang on a minute, what about...' results in howls that those women want them not to exist.

Doesn't that indicate a terrifying lack of sense of self if an identity only exists in public performance of validation and submission?

I don't think anybody is helped by going along with it.
