No quote from Anne but otherwise a good article:

Well the title is wrong for a start, and it makes them look bad.
The resignations are because Labour are permitting men on AWS, without a GRC.

It is explained properly in the article though. The headline is already pretty long.

It could have been much worse too "Transphobic Terfs quit Labour over... etc
I think it's actually pretty good coverage all things considered.

I don't like the DM but I browse the headlines as I always seem to vote for the losing side (pro Labour, pro remain) so I find it interesting to read what 'the other side' are reading.

It was from browsing DM headlines which introduced me to the issues of transgender politics.

As with anything in the DM, if the topic interests me I go elsewhere to read about it.

Of course the DM will slant the story in an untruthful way but the main thing is that it is reported. Many people will make up their own minds and not just be guided by a headline or article.

Agree it's a pretty fair article. The BTL comments are pretty nasty tho, as to be expected.

Wonder how/if the Guardian will report it?

Terfulike · 29/04/2018 01:21

Oh they'll probably ignore it, or Owen Jones will declare it a great result, purging the Labour Party of transphobics. I hope Andrew Marr mentions it though.

LaSqrrl · 29/04/2018 03:03

I really hope the May Day walkout becomes a Peak Trans tipping point.

IdentifiesAsMiddleAged · 29/04/2018 06:22

It pretty much sums it up, IMO
