First post here ... and couldn’t see it covered already but forgive me if it has.

Article on The Pool today about right to choose - all v sensible. Except that it includes trans men. Am I being a bit thick? Why would a trans man need an abortion?

Welcome to Mumsnet 2018 Flowers

A trans man is a biological woman who identifies as a man.

Oh I was being really thick then ... sorry. How embarrassing

No apology needed Smile

Brace yourself with tea and gin then get stuck in to the rest of the board...

Thanks - will tentatively dip my toe in. Was common garden feminist but feel out of touch and that I might need a bit more education!

I used to think that too. It ties your brain in knots. Smile

@Lotsofplanets, there is a world of education on here. I read till my head spins and I'm really trying now to focus on one or two important (for me) aspects of this, as it's so huge that it can drown me otherwise. I'm not up on feminist theory, get very confused Confused about the 'waves' etc and have decided not to go too deep in those, just drill down into the aspects that interest me most. While being glad that others have the intellectual stamina to do the tricky bits.
