Apologies if there's already a thread on this, I checked but couldn't see one.

Incel - short for 'involuntarily celibate'.

So a group of men angry at the world (read: women, as well as men who are able to get laid - yes, really) have formed this group, and they're getting radicalised.

Apparently this group has been around for about 20 years.

Yet again - Hell really hath no fury like a man scorned.

There has been mutterings from these people for years online under the guise of the nice guy and the friendzone. It all adds up to the same thing blokes with stupidly high expectations of women and who no sane woman would want to sleep with. Which can't be their fault for they are poor menz it must be the fault of the women who are all slurs dontchewknow for you know not sleeping with them. Misogynistic twatbadgers the lot of them.

I cant see anywhere in that article that describes this as a terrorist attack. Genuine question - why would this be?

thebewilderness · 25/04/2018 21:50

Violence against women by white males is never characterized as a terrorist attack despite all the evidence.

What else do you call it when a van plows onto a crowded Toronto footpath?

It seems particularly stark in this scenario that it doesn't seem (by the bbc at any rate) to be called terrorism. An organised, radical, political group planned and orchestrated an attack on innocent people in the name of their cause. How is thatnot terrorism?

There was a thread about this yesterday. Lots of links to their horrifying ideology on it.
