MtF transgender Paris Valeta Bragazzi has been sent to a mens' prison after 'her' second assault on a police officer.

Bragazzi now has a total of 65 convictions.

Keep this violent individual out of women's prisons.

So what are they doing 're recording crimes as being done by a woman but said woman in a man's prison?

Glad they are in the men's prison though.

I read about this person when they pushed a policeman on to the tube tracks and were spared jail.

Only saw the thread title and was going to just post something about how people hurt because they are hurt. (And then We hurt them more by punishment and prison rather than disentangling what’s going on)
Was going to post this before seeing it had anything to do with the obsession here with trans. This is my view about anyone who hurts- regardless of sex or gender identity. We as a society fail those at risk of perpetuating violence and those at risk of being the victim of violence (and the two are not exclusive).

I did. But had a response before then which still feels relevant.

So this is where we are. For anyone clicking on this thread thinking it was a BBC news article about a female with serious violence issues. And you thought, 'that's unusual, what's that all about?'.

This is what it's come to.

The only way that the BBC can signal to you that this is not actually a female is to report that that they were brought from the men's jail. And that Paris's defence included the stress of transitioning

And, if you're new to this, you may not know that many people who are demanding all these 'feminist people' here to shut up about their concerns - well, they would tell you that this post of mine is transphobic.

Because, according to them, Paris is a woman. #nodebate Because transwomen are women.

And don't be surprised if Paris still has a penis. Because many people who define themselves as transwomen still retain their penis. And will tell you that 'some women have a penis, get over it'. (Though if you question this, you'll be accussed of focusing on people's genitalia. Stop focusing on biology!).

If any of this makes you think 'hmmm', I'd encourage you to read more threads on the issue. The overwhelming majority of people on the FWR threads are not 'anti-trans' as others would have you believe.

They are simply working out how to stop the erosion of female rights. And the very definition of 'woman'.

I think there is a lot of pain sitting behind violence; I see it in the courts all the time. Such awful, nasty, violent behaviour and the pain that accompanies the perpetrator (not to mention the victim) is often palpable.

And if you are suggesting short prison sentences do not allow for proper rehabilitation, then you're right.

There are community options including all sorts of courses available but there comes a point when someone is violent that they need to be sent to prison not just as punishment (although violence should be punished) but for the protection of their victims and the public at large.

I would imagine having been in court for violent offences for a second time in short succession there would have been a pre sentence psych evaluation and so, given they haven't been committed to hospital, they probably need to be in prison.

The constant sympathy for violent male perps who suffer from aggrieved entitlement never ceases to amaze me. Particularly when coupled with complete disregard for the victims of violence.

It's utterly bizarre, how it's being reported.

Wombman, for the London Underground, a train isn't necessary to kill someone.

All you have to do is touch the live rail and you could electrocute yourself.

Such violence towards women as well..two elderly ladies and assaulting a policewoman. They CAN'T record this as a female-committed crime.

So, a woman with serious violence issues, no surprise
but yet another case of the crime statistics being distorted, so it may appear that the % of violent "women" is increasing

We need to campaign for separate crime statistics for transwomen.
Unfortunately, while TRAs claim there is insufficient evidence that transwomen follow the crime patterns of other men, they aggressively oppose this obvious way of obtaining more statistics

I don't doubt that the person in the reports is deeply troubled, and that has in some large part contributed to erratic, violent and dangerous behaviour. But that's why we have a criminal justice system that takes this stuff into account, weighs up the public interest and passes judgement accordingly. I would guess that the 65 previous convictions and the very recent suspended sentence reflected this. However, there comes a time when the line is crossed and we can't look the other way and find extenuating circumstances any more, because we also need to protect the public.

It's to be hoped that the prison is able to offer assistance (drug rehab, therapy) to help the convict on release live a peaceful life and be a valuable member of the community.

If this is recorded as a female conviction, it will be a travesty and illustrate the dangers in the system we are in at the moment
