Yes. The problem is that Labour are still insisting this is only about trans views and nothing to do with women. And this despite the fact the issue is about how the law defines sex not gender.

Miranda can be trusted to point out to JC that he's only meeting with a transwoman, because transwomen are male and he's not prepared to listen to women on this.

Don't hope out much hope though, despite the fact Miranda is superb.

Corbyn is completely ineffective & tone deaf to women. His position is propped up by a bunch of brocialists who are happy to call women 'cu**s' when they point out that women are the experts at being women.

Think Labour are beyond reasoning with about this issue now & any notion of women being listened to will be tokenistic (much like the 'consultation'...)

I think we need to give Corbyn a chance here... I imagine he is trying to tread a very fine line between the ‘progressive’brosocialists /trans handmaidens in the party and the more outspoken (fierce and brave!) gender critical feminists. I truly hope that Corbyn will listen to MY with an open mind and try to understand the concerns regarding self ID that she will no doubt raise. I know it is not ideal in the sense that yet again it is not a biological/natal woman who gets a place at the debating table... but I will reserve any greater judgement until I hear the particulars and outcome of this discussion.

In a convo between JC and Miranda, my money is on Miranda.

I am guessing that in the labour more socialist than thou mind of Jeremy Corbyn he isn't meeting with a female representative but a member of the side being oppressed by women.

So instead of mixing with UKIP to discuss immigration, he's meeting with an immigrant.

Still, Miranda is good people, and in fairness, I can't actually think of anyone who would be a better representative for us in this situation.

Remeber, at this point, it's not just about feminism but about anyone who is gender critical and teenagers of both sexes being pushed in to harmful stereotypes. As a TW herself she's not going to be seen as a hideous bigot like the rest of us. As a long-term transexual she's got a lot more knowledge than any of the young trans teens who think wearing lipstick to match your beard makes them a woman. And I'd say probably as knowledgeable of the gender critical arguments as any of the feminists involved without any of the baggage that comes from being an Angry Woman®. I'd love to send a raging middle aged radical feminist in there to deal with Corbyn but it probably wouldn't make him listen.
