The Spectator comes up trumps again

Another great article in the Spectator about the role of MN in the TG debate
link
Including the following great paragraph (about the Maria Maclachlan case)
she was effectively instructed to say things in court that she did not believe were true.
I’ll repeat that. A woman who was assaulted by a person she considers to be male was told by the judge hearing the case to refer to that person as female – out of respect for her attacker’s feelings. That is the extent to which the enforced norms of the transgender debate can affect a person’s ability to express themselves as they wish.

Funny how the Spectator is turning into the new Guardian

Having been somewhat astonished at how toxic this situation has become I have to say that since keeping up once in holiday at half term two of my friends have been assaulted by people offended on the behalf of transsexuals.

I just can’t believe this is happening. I do enjoy the spectator and it’s brave coverage of the matter but things seem to have spiralled out of control when women are attacked on behalf of men claiming to be women simply for defending women’s rights.

Sad

Sorry to hear that. This worries me given the amount of pro-violence against women concerned about their rights rhetoric around this debate.

Do you mind me asking what happened?
