I'm very new to this debate and am horrified what is going on. I have found that the debate on Twitter has become very toxic and I can see why so many people do not want to engage. I back wholeheartedly all of you who are trying to make it fair for all and I have tried to gather as many signatures as possible.

Like most of us I welcome genuine trans people, I hate discrimination and I fear that it is already too late to protect women and trans women, from my perspective the trans activists fail to realise they are eroding their community rights too if they achieve what they want with self-id. I find the argument that violence wont happen as men wouldn't go into womens spaces unless they are women ludicrous.

I realised very early on after reading James Kirks articles that it will be men who stop this craziness and that makes me sad. But i have hope this morning that it is happening. My local paper dropped through the door this morning. In the opinion section is an article on Laurel Hubbard. I hope people who have never engaged in this debate read it and remember. Small steps but it made me smile after a week of Twitter crazy.

Yorkshire folk do tend to tell it as it is thankfully! I should know I am one!
