Apparently the character is called ‘Philomena’ because she was originally supposed to be ‘like somebody on Mumsnet’ and they thought people on Mumsnet had names like Philomena.

The character changed but the name stuck.

Not sure if that is good or bad!

Me too. In the first episode she said 1066 was like Brexit backwards and I'm still laughing about that now. Though I think the expert interviews are going off a bit now they've all caught on to what's happening.
