How and where to object to "gender" where sex is meant and "sex assigned at birth" for non-intersex babies.

Hi - have been on the board a couple of months.
I don't want to venture on to twitter or compaign more overtly but I am very happy to write some letters and maybe see my MP about use of language, in particular:

  • the misuse of the term "gender" when "sex" is intended
  • the misuse of the term "assigned at birth" to babies who are not intersex.

If anyone has experience of making these kinds of protests (I am thinking the NHS and any other public bodies where this stuff is creeping in) I would be very grateful.

I honestly don't know my views about same-sex spaces, etc, but I am 100% sure that misuse of language is wrong.

I filled out a form at John Lewis today and crossed out ‘gender’ and wrote ‘sex’.

There's a facebook group called CATT, which is aimed at this type of campaigning.

Here's a link on how to join, if you'd like to get involved.
