This is in the guardian - and we get comments like this. I am composing a reply, which I will have to self-moderate for obscenity!

^Seemingly, there is no end to women’s colonization of sport and leisure facilities for men.
Back in 1959, the student’s union, to which I first had access, boasted two reading rooms: one for women and one for men.
At that time, the leadership of the union was predominately feminist; people in search of “equal opportunities” for women.
Well before I’d finished my studies, the men’s reading room became a mixed reading room; women, on the other hand, retained their own space.
An adult lifetime later, nothing has changed.
Women’s colonization of facilities for men continues and – as with all colonial ventures - it has little to do with equality.
In this country, sport and leisure provision for women now outstrips that available to men and, in most cases, the imbalance, in favour of women, is likely to be glaring.
Check that out.
Do an online search for men’s gyms, swimming clubs, etc in your home county; then search for women-only facilities and compare your findings^
