Hi All,
I am a (very) mature student newly embarked on a degree in Advocacy, I am currently getting together my assignment which I have chosen on Liberal Feminism. I do not want to start any wars at all, my two son's are now adults no father figures around at all when I brought them up. I would like to ask any other single parent's out there how you dealt with the stereo typical gender stuff when bringing up your children - as an example, I deliberately learned how to canoe, kayak I taught archery took them to rugby/ football matches etc and got a job as an outdoor pursuits instructor, I took my lads camping, taught them to cook etc but also made sure that I made friends with people who had little girls so we had collective outings. Interestingly my son would not let me buy his daughter a train set or tool kit as I had as a child. ( she lives with her mother). Thanks all.
