How is it that trans people have come out of the shadows and become so visible, in films and music, in ads, on TV, on the radio, when for decades their lives were hidden? What has enabled that change? Is it hard-won battles for equality, changes in gender roles, the birth of the internet, consumer culture? I found it unsettling that they jumped from the 1950s when being trans was clearly distasteful to how much easier was to be trans now, bypassing the 70s and 80s where sticking two fingers up to any gender boxes was (imho) a good thing. I am thinking of everyone from Bowie to myself ( otherwise inhave nothing at all in common with that great man/ am not worthy)

Is the polly c person a real doctor? I though so until she talked about gender assignment at birth and how nature was non binary. But concerning if a doctor treating people with such problems doesn't understand about sex.

but the book as you mentioned was written (or at least published) in 2010 under the name of John Ozimek.

Ozimek/Fae does not have a "ladybrain", or dysphoria. He's just pornsick, and taking full advantage of the social leeway currently being given to TIMs that at least in some circles isn't as freely given to men who admit they're men.
