I bet I, being a woman, can tell him more reasons a woman isn't menstruating than he can - many of which I'll have experienced myself, so yes, actually, we are well aware that not all women menstruate, and shock horror, even those of us who don't menstruate (or aren't menstruating right now) don't mind other women who do, we don't mind people saying that 'women menstruate', because why the hell would we.

This is why I struggle to take transwomen who claim to be feminists seriously because so few of them seem to have the slightest knowledge of feminist theory or the history of the fight for equal civil rights for women. The ignorance in that Medium post is astounding.

Oh yes AAK, that one was fun. as well as probably being pretty upsetting to parents of babies with actual disorders of sex development. I imagine in that scenario there's nothing you'd want more than the doctor / midwife being able to confidently tell you what sex your baby is.
