She was very calm and rational, but refused to parrot "trans women are women", so Maajid - whom I generally have a lot of time for - resorted to gaslighting her, telling her that she was contradicting herself, when in fact she was working very hard not to do precisely that, while also using respectful language that could not get her accused of hate.
