Do you think this is the future?

Was just discussing how utterly insane the thought policing is around gender critical views.

I’m afraid that we are getting close to a point where women will be routinely arrested for GC opinions, and we are heading towards a future where something you said ten or even twenty years ago could get you arrested and even imorisoned. When the Lily Madigans of this world start to occupy positions of power.

It makes me want to delete all traces of myself from social media and move to the Amazon jungle to be honest.

Is this where we’re headed?

I think there will be a fight back when it reaches the wider public but I think it might be too late and legislation and institutional policies may have changed too much for a reversal to be possible.

Bad laws can be reversed when the government gets it wrong, but it takes time and a lot of protesting. Poll tax anyone?

I think a law could change, yes but I also think these activists are in such power in large business, universities, schools, health services. It will be hard to reverse even some of the changes that have already happened before the law has even been changed. Changing something once it has been implemented in the NHS, for example, is a bloody nightmare.
