SELF ID to claim pension earlier....

Hmmm, imagine, no man would possibly self-identify as a woman in order to claim their pension five years earlier, would they?

Apologies for the provenance of the link.

Can I self ID as older, so that I can get my pension earlier?

BritInUS1 · 26/03/2018 19:26

Pension ages for men and women will be the same from this year in the UK

Spare a thought for poor old Stephonknee, who identifies as a 6 year old and if they live their life authentically will not be able to claim a pension until they are biologically 110 years old.

Because I'm sure they'll live their life authentically, right?

I mean he's not driving a snow plough as a job now-

BritinUS1 is right, women don't get their pension 5 years earlier than men and before the end of this year they will get their pensions at exactly the same age.

But even though it's not relevant to the UK, it's interesting in Self ID countries to see what's happening in relation to the flexibility of the law.

I have enough trouble keeping up with UK pension laws, haven't got a clue about other countries but I just googled a few, and they all seem to have equal retirement ages. I'm not sure which countries have Self ID so not sure if I googled the relevant ones. I suppose I should have googled that first.

I'm obviously bored tonight but from what I can see if you want to self ID to get your pension early you need to be in Argentina, but in Malta, Ireland, Canada and Denmark it won't work as you can self ID but equal retirement ages.

Isn't google wonderful. I'm going to make a cuppa now.
