I think I know the answer, but would like some clarification...

So if self-id does get passed and it is a self declaration form.. when it comes to GNC/GF would there be a 'dual' or 'both' declaration?

At this stage all the government is talking about is a simplification of the existing process. So gender remains binary. And individuals would have to pick one gender and likely sign a statutory declaration that they intend to live in their preferred gender for the rest of their life. This certainly the case in Ireland at the moment.

Well the Scottish consultation did say something about this. Can’t remember what though as I think pretty much everyone is ‘gender non conforming’ to a degree but only a few people seem to make a big issue out of it.

Its possible to be gender fluid in the UK now.
People who support radical changes in the law should understand what they support. Its not 'just a simplification'.

I'm still the same person whether I'm presenting as Callum or Abi
Well precisely, so why the fuck do we all have to know about it and be expected to care?
Why would the Police Association allow this twit to bring this nonsense into work? Two warrant cards, so he can decide to be Callum if he's having a bad hair day... Hmm

whathaveiforgottentoday · 22/03/2018 19:51

That's just crazy. Seriously, people have better things to do than remember somebody has a different name on different days. I'm dead impressed if i remember one name for most people let alone two. greedy fucker.

So with the gender fluid officer, there's no commitment there to transition.. so wouldn't that make self-Id irrelevant? I've heard a lot of TRA's use 'well they'd be breaking the law' as a substitute for some sort of protection..
