Just for a few comments that were very polite but were different to their politics on what being trans means.

It's disturbing that someone who claims to be trans and who wants to speak for women blocks people who have different views to them.

Despite all that I actually like Jack (especially when we have interacted on here) but think they are a person for whom social media is unhealthy/damaging. Its just unfortunate that their livelihood is tied up in having a public persona.

Social media has a lot to answer for with all of this.

Jack's problem in the transgender community is that she is female and successful and therefore represents a threat to the menz who want exactly what she has.

Her position is very vulnerable, she doesn't have the male privilege that the other prominent transgender people have. She will be dismissed as "not trans enough" which is code for "not male enough".

She seems to have finally woken up to that now though.

Oh no, is jack trans again. That's disappointing. She seems like a great person doing their best but with a lot of issues to work through.

Agree that in a lot of cases, social media doesn't do people any good, mental health-wise.

Jack posted about some nonsense and got piled on a few weeks back. Ever since has been Trans again themselves.

Surprisingly hasn't withdrawn A Girl Called Jack though.

Hey Jack - most people are non-binary - it is nothing to be scared of. It doesn't make you a man if you like to wear DMs.

It seems to be an example of a person trying to escape themselves. Transing promises that, but it doesnt deliver, but its a tempting promise even if youve learnt in the past its false, maybe you didnr transition enough last time? Maybe if you commit more? Ignore the logic negative TERFS...

It links up with the other thread about butch lesbians not having a "place" and a visible identity as a group & being silenced and driven underground.

I dont know Jacks sexuality, but maybe if Tomboys and Butch girls were given their identities and spaces back, and were allowed to be a legit group again, then on the fense transmen would see all the options available to them a bit more?? Same goes for crossdressing boys. Options being presented are trans or cis. Not trans or crossdressing or just a boy/girl in clothes...

Stop giving LM more power than she has. She is not ‘the’ Labour women’s officer. She is a women’s officer in 1 CLP, like hundreds of others whose names you have no idea of. Many of them weren’t even in competitive elections. It’s Twitter that’s made LM famous, not Labour.

I think there is a mix of bullies who would be bullies anywhere but also vulnerable people who retreat into bubbles and echo chambers in ways yoy couldnt do offline

The women's officer should be looking after all women, not some.
