Ok so DISCLAIMER I am a tiny bit drunk but just read this article on Huff Post about Helen Skelton being groped while pregnant.

Helen Skelton Shares Her Experiences Of Being 'Groped' Live On Air While Pregnant - HuffPost UK

She did not want to 'be difficult' - I imagine a lot of us have been there. But Colin Murray complained. And I just feel GOOD ON HIM. Of course in an ideal world, every woman would feel confident complaining (in a really ideal world of course, it wouldn't happen) - but I was so glad that he saw this and thought 'fuck it, that is out of order, I am reporting this.'

We need more of this - from anyone who witnesses it, but especially from men, to say THIS IS NOT ON to other men, and publicly shame them for behaving so vilely.

So I am glad he spoke out.

Right, sorry for that tipsy diatribe! As you were, my lovely sisters 😘😘😘 Happy Saturday night 🥂

I felt the same when reading about this - I felt a lot of gratitude to Murray for standing up for a woman, his colleague and against a man.

Isn't it telling though that women always feel so grateful to men for treating us like human beings?? And it always surprises me when one man stands up against another in defending a woman. It is just so unusual.

The odious toad who is apparently the man that did this is totally minimising it. Apparently it was a slap not a grope (as if that makes it better), and he would never have groped her because his wife was in the audience. What a charmer.

Happy St Pats to Colin Brew
I hate that these people gst to avoid being named, why should they?

LabourLostMe · 18/03/2018 00:58

It is not often that men 'kick off' or even notice such behaviour. I wonder if the fact she was pregnant made a difference.

With the Madonna/whore complex in mind.

I hope I'm wrong and that he would have called out such behaviour regardless.

It is terribly sad that we should feel grateful to men who treat us with ANY compassion or respect.

Bet yes, I agree OP, we do need more of this and it is the voice of men which seems to have more impact than the voice of women. How the fuck have we got hereConfused

Flowers Colin Murray is a mensch for doing that. Good on him. I want to praise men who do this to encourage other men to follow suit.

Good for Colin Murray! The more people - male and female - calling out this behaviour the better.
