Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

I keep struggling with the same question. Trans influence.

I have read and read until my head is swimming with information for months now. I have watched with shock and horror the sudden pervasive influence and seeming power of the trans movement and I keep coming back to the same question.

How?

How can such a small percentage of the population (0.3-1% depending on the statistics you read) have such a powerful and far reaching influence on political parties, universities and colleges, schools, woman's shelters, prisons, girlguides, brownies and rainbows, the NSPCC, newspapers, sports, etc.

How can such a small % of the population suddenly make free speech and seemingly the way we THINK "hate speach" if we refuse to lie down and accept everything they are demanding of us? How can questioning the demand that we have to accept people of one natal sex (without having undergone surgery or hormonal treatment) into spaces reserved for the opposite sex be a hate crime? How can questioning the rights of safety of one sex over another be hateful?

I have always believed that you should treat everyone with kindness and respect and judge them on who they are as an individual and how they treat me and other people, not on whether they are female, male, by skin colour, whatever their religious beliefs (or none), whatever their sexual orientation or gender identity and expected the same courtesy back. That everyone deserves to live their life without fear, violence, discrimination or hate. I have never tried to impinge on anyone's rights or private spaces and have expected the same consideration back.

But now I am being told that I have been wrong all along. That my opinions and concerns are wrong and infact I am evil for ever voicing them or questioning the sudden and sweeping changes happing. That a tiny % of the population's wants and needs are much more important than mine and other people's because they say so.

And I keep coming back to the same question.

How?

I feel the same OP. All I could find so far was this...

I think ( maybe I'm conspiracy theorizing ) that some are bored billionaires that enjoy mucking with society and trying to destabilize it. Or possibly those who are backing the MRAs and would love to see women back in the kitchen. It really doesn't seem to be about forwarding the rights of trans, but more about destroying women's right.

It is rather terrifying how quickly this is moving and how rapidly anything by anyone challenging this agenda is banned/deleted from SM or any other prominent groups. There is much money and power behind this movement.

I'm sorry, I know this doesn't help, but at least there is somewhere (thank you MN) that we can discuss all of this rather than being completely silenced.

It's not just TRAs - there's a lot of money behind them- they are cannon fodder really - Big Pharm and Money Markets money is behind the movement - to make people more drug and surgery dependent. The money market guys like Soros and Buffett bet on which stocks/markets will grow so have much invested in it.

They have set up many foundations as NGOs/NFPs and hidden their backers. They offer grants and there's always lot of people looking for money to live off. The people getting grants have to agree to certain terms and conditions i.e. promote Transgender and change accepted language and policies. They have lots of different NGOs and NFPs giving away small grants in areas where they affect health policy for example.

So they get change by stealth - no open debate. Policies are changed routinely and at committee level. Social media is a right wing propaganda tool now - with it's trillions of sock puppets all paid for those same 1%. They influence people to view drugs and surgery as the only option to internal distress.

It's not really about Transgender really - it's about the money….

Every generation of men try to strip women of their civil rights. Some are more successful than others. The war on women heats up and goes cold but it never ends.
