and is hiding it from view if you have media settings set to avoid disgy stuff.

If you're a tweeter, try the challenge: retweet the definition and see if they hide it.

Not surprising. I assume twitter tech is full of leftie dude bros and TIMs.

Is there an equivalent definition of man that could be tested out?

Look, I found that account and all her posted media is marked sensitive. Including one time she posted something that she had earlier retweeted, an article linked by Women’s Place UK. On her account this was marked sensitive, but on Women’s Place UK’s Twitter it was not marked sensitive.

It is clear it is not the material which is behind why it is marked sensitive, as similar material on her account, when posted by other accounts is not marked sensitive.

This is likely because she has, on her settings, ticked the box which said ‘mark media you Tweet as containing material that may be sensitive’. Aka her own choice, and one other accounts, posting similar or even the same content have not chosen to do or been flagged up for not doing.

Scrolling down, her link to a Guardian article about pay transparency is also marked sensitive (along with EVERY SINGLE other piece of media included in a tweet, any post which isn’t labelled sensitive is a retweet) . The fact that she has retweeted the person you’ve linked to means she’s either lying by omission or, far more likely, is unaware that this is something she has checked on her account settings.

Ah!

Oh well, at least this gets the definition circulated!!!

Actually, I don't think that's right. There's a lot of stuff in her timeline that isn't marked sensitive.

I think twitter is the one designating certain tweets as sensitive.

Each account has settings as to how those tweets are viewed. So mine will hide sensitive stuff - but only after twitter has deemed it sensitive.

Just keep circulating the tweet and see what happens - it is worth retweeting Smile

Yes there’s a lot of stuff on her timeline not marked sensitive but it’s all things she’s either retweeted or replied to e.g we can see the image of the midwife because it was retweeted. Twitter does sometimes designate certain tweets as sensitive if flagged (and warn the user tweeting it that they are doing so) but using the the same mechanism as someone marking it sensitive themselves, plus much of her flagged sensitive content includes content not flagged as sensitive on other accounts. It does not differentiate between the two if you choose to view sensitive content or choose not to (at least having checked my account). It’s possible that Twitter has made it so every post wth content is marked sensitive, but usually this is after repeated warning and only if she violates the policy and hasn’t marked sensitive violence, nudity or hate speech repeatedly.

To check I’m seeing the same this is an example:

Regardless, it’s srill important to raise awareness and affirm the definition of women on international woman’s day and I’ve found a great person to follow!

MaidOfStars · 08/03/2018 21:55

One of those is mine. I haven’t marked anything as sensitive.

MaidOfStars · 08/03/2018 21:57

I’m a Twitter challenge Grin
