Absolutely. They have had to tread a fine line and withstand intense pressure to shut women up.

The women and threads on here are routinely referenced in mainstream media. Because mumsnet is a temperature check of public opinion. Particularly that of women.

An opinion that MNHQ have, in the face of relentless duress, refused to quash.

They have had to constantly analyse exactly what is being said and why. Time-consuming and stressful.

The fact that they have allowed to debate to flourish (which should never, ever be a controversial decision), truly means that they have been at the vanguard of women's rights over this.

And I am proud to be a member.

Mumsnet has the hardest balls on the Internet.
