Does anyone have any suggestions for good feminist podcasts? I've already started to listen to some of the ones on the feminist current website. Any other recommendations?

I am replying to bump your question. I cannot help as I am a reader and not a listener. You might ask in a thread at Feminist Current.

The Guilty Feminist is good, although I think they are woolly on the trans issue. That said, it's entertaining and thought-provoking.

Yeah, I gave up on The Guilty Feminist as I found them and the guests too annoying and right-on about certain issues. It was interesting that Sofie Hagen got so upset about the cancer charity Oei_y adverts recently. She comes across as not bothered about the 'fat' tag, but then took against the campaign so strongly. Mostly Twitter seemed against her on it. Also I rarely listen to Women's Hour as I also find it too irritating. I am an avid Podcast listener, but couldn't really point to any Feminist ones per se, more feminist-themed episodes.
Death, Sex&Money had some very good individual episodes on prostitution for example.
The Moral Maze on BBC 4 has some excellent debates on women, marriage, gender (the Heather B-E infamous one).
This American Life - latest episode called 'five women', 'words you can't say' had a trans section.
Hidden Brain - episodes on marriage, gender and the pay gap. Also 'Why Now?' about the Me too movement was very good.
Invisibilia - quite mixed stories but many have feminist themes.
That's a cult - a new one, but I enjoyed the episode 'NoFap' about men who don't masturbate.
Waking up - Sam Harris interviewing Assan Hirsi Ali and 'Facing The Crowd' about free speech on American campuses.
Mostly American ones I know. If anyone else can point to some good ones, I'd also be grateful!

I was listening to an episode of The Guilty Feminist yesterday and as soon as Deborah (I think that’s her name) started banging the drum for transgenderism, saying they (TRAs) are challenging the patriarchy and she started using the term ‘cis’ I just rolled my eyes had to turn it off.

So, at the moment I don’t have a feminist podcast. I thought I might work through some feminist lit on Audible though. Not sure it will be good for my mood though; I feel in a state of permanent rage at the moment as it’s like someone’s just hit the speed rewind on women’s rights.

Sofie Hagen also thinks women are nasty if we don't welcome TIMs into our spaces.

99% invisible isn't a feminist podcast, but some of the episodes are very interesting. I liked the one about the contraceptive pill and the work women did to publicise its side effects. Also, how difficult it was to get shops to stock the first running bra.

Thanks for the suggestions. It's a shame there aren't more specifically feminist podcasts. I want to learn more about feminism but never seem to find time to read books whereas I can listen to podcasts while walking/doing household chores etc. Maybe I need to look into audiobooks too.

I forgot to mention one other podcast that I've listened to a few episodes of - Standard Issue www.acast.com/standardissuespodcast - Not as serious as Feminist Current but I've enjoyed the ones I've listened to so far.

Sorry, I made a mess of that. Try this: player.fm/series/what-would-a-feminist-do-the-guardian

Didn't want to start a new thread, so used this one.
The new episode of the BBC World Service's "The Inquiry" deals with the effect of transition, both to male and female, and the resulting perception of gender bias. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w3cswqt5
Needless to say, male to female transitioners are shocked by their drop in status.
Also, the Hidden Brain podcast just rebroadcast an episode that starts with quite an interesting section on Don Laub, who was a pioneer of sex 'reassignment' surgery. Both quite short if anyone's interested.

There's a free podcast series on audible about boobs, Breasts Unbound. I've only listened to the first couple but they were good.
