Including a recording of what she said at the WPUK meeting in response to Sophie from WEP.

link to Heather's website statement

She doesn't mince her words & I'm glad she's put her side of things out.

Perfectly illustrates how trans activists conduct continues to get a free pass while Heather has been sacked from her role & smeared as a result of the same trans activist's complaint.

It's mad, I really don't understand how we've got to the point where somebody stating fact/reality gets sacked.

TheRagingGirl · 06/03/2018 19:13

Wow! that's a wonderful piece of writing. She nails the deep underlying dangers of the #NoDebate mindset.

FencingFightingTorture35 · 06/03/2018 19:15

It's a wonderful letter which exposes how malign this dogma is.

Well done Heather. You have my support.

shedalight · 06/03/2018 19:18

A great letter and useful to have confirmed just how irrelevant to women the WEP are.

LittleLebowski · 06/03/2018 19:27

Thanks for posting this. I heard the Moral Maze episode and couldn't believe what happened to Heather after. As you say, the WEP are useless - the main point of the party and they fail.

Buckingfrolicks · 06/03/2018 19:37

Peak trans ? Oh you bloody betcha. I've lurked on these threads but never dared post my views but fuck that.

My god, trans activists are a Trojan Horse that so easily will lead to thought policing, and a fucking 1985 world of punishment for daring to think.

It scares the crap out of me. A tiny group of trans women are threatening freedom of speech, like a bunch of flat earthers who suddenly cannot ever ever be challenged or even contradicted but who are now fucking Insidiously gaining influence over those too fucking scared to stand up against them.

Elendon · 06/03/2018 19:40

I would go further and say it's like those who peddle anti vax and embrace homeopathy to cure cancer.

dogendsaredogs · 06/03/2018 19:43

This will be an important document when we come to archive this period of mass psychosis.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 06/03/2018 20:02

That was brilliant and I can't understand what the WEP is even thinking!! Are they completely insane?? Never was the old saying like turkeys voting for Christmas more apt.

ReluctantCamper · 06/03/2018 20:56

aaaand the rage is back

Fuck off Women's (hah!) Equality (double hah!) Party.

Fuck off Sophie Walker

Fuck off Catherine Meyer

Fuckity fuck off Sandi Toksvig

You had ONE JOB. And you muffed it, you useless bunch of gullible morons.

You know better than all those nasty common women don't you?

Patodp · 06/03/2018 20:59

I'd love inside knowledge, their membership has surely collapsed following this.

Just the TIMs and their allies left.

ILoveDolly · 06/03/2018 21:04

This is sickening. I thought we were moving towards freedom from reductive constructs but this nutrans stuff is actually dragging us back into a strict binary but one where men hold ALL the cards

SophoclesTheFox · 06/03/2018 21:42

Wow. That’s a powerful piece of writing. how brave (and she shouldn’t need to be so brave)

TulipsInAJug · 06/03/2018 21:49

Wonderfully articulate and quietly damning.

FirstShinyRobe · 06/03/2018 22:00

Absolutely fantastic letter. And, of course, the circumstances surrounding it were initiated by a man. Fuckers. And spineless women. You don't need their approval, you need ours.

It totally baffles me that the WEP are embroiled in these issues NOW. Or at all. That the strong driver which led to the founders setting up the Party would not also centre women and girls will always be a puzzle to me. Especially that the current entrenched position on men identifying as women being women has seemingly strengthened in the face of increasing evidence of why it should not. What on earth is going on?

I might just make strides to make my lifestyle that bit healthier because I really want to be around to see how this nonsense plays out.

LizzieSiddal · 06/03/2018 22:15

A wonderful piece. I don’t know how anyone can read it and decide Heather did anything wrong.

WEP::: You are a JOKE

HomeTerf · 06/03/2018 22:21

I'm so impressed that she managed to write that piece in such a calm, measured, clear-sighted way.

What happened is a fucking outrage and it simply beggars belief. Except, when it's set out like that, it doesn't. A woman in the Women's Equality Party stated a scientific fact, and a man in the Women's Equality Party didn't like it and got her sacked.

FirstShinyRobe · 06/03/2018 22:51

Thinking a little more about this situation, I'm even more baffled/pissed off with the WRP. And even more appreciative of MNHQ. I've been around here for a long time (Dittany opened my eyes to this stuff) and I have been waiting ever since I first started reading staunch anti TRA posts for the TRAs to descend en masse. But they haven't. Because MNHQ have basically shrugged at their claims. I know there have been run-ins with the owners, but they have quietly allowed the discussions to to continue.

So for a Party that was set up to bring women's issues to the fore to capitulate from the off is galling. And for MNHQ to stand firm is particularly praiseworthy.
