I don't know if this is the best place or general health, but it is a full and frank discussion - if you ever thought there was something wrong with you.

Too many women are insecure about their bits. It must be worse now with all the porn - you would have thought more exposure would be a good thing but it is all so filtered through the view of the pornographers.

Is this something that has been on Woman's Hour on Radio4?

Melamin · 06/03/2018 10:31

Yes - this morning and on the podcast.

I sent a question about what happens after menopause. I hope they cover that. It is a big question.

yes I heard some of this, it was great, will check out the podcast

There was accidental conflation of vulvo/vaginal atrophy (now urogenital syndrome of menopause) and lichen sclerosis which they mentioned at the end (one of the women was Norwegian). I hope they mention more about menopause changes on the podcast.

They've been doing a lot on menopause recently, it's good.

newtlover · 06/03/2018 11:43

socks? I missed that bit do tell
I was listening on iplayer, ironic that the photo they used showed a woman with apparently no pubic hair

Melamin · 06/03/2018 11:48

Yes - I noticed that too Hmm

The socks thing is part of the blurb for their book - the wonder down under www.amazon.co.uk/Wonder-Down-Under-Users-Vagina/dp/1473666902?tag=mumsnetforum-21
