When I googled this organisation I got a proper google link to it at the top of the main search bit.

But also this rather confusing paid link that says a VERY similar sounding organisation is anti-LGBT. Hmmmm

I then get this on wikipedia that suggests the actual organisation mentioned in the OP is anti LGBT but have no idea of its validity.

But I have no doubt Feminism Chat is currently described as an anti-LGBT hate group too.

American College of Pediatricians is a small, right-wing, socially conservative, anti-abortion, antiLGBT, anti-gay-adoption outfit.

Very different from the American Academy of Pediatrics, which is a major professional association of pediatricians with around 66,000 members.

To echo what some others have said, the American College of Pediatricians are a right-wing organization that is definitely anti-gay. They are also pro-corporal punishment of children and have a piece on their website called "Guidelines for Disciplinary Spanking."

They have an anti-children, anti-woman agenda and are populated by people with a fundamentalist, religious right orientation.

The trans activists seem anti children, anti women and anti gay just from a different perspective.

Even nazis sometimes make sense. Or at least seem to. These are pro-life (except when it’s lives of actual people) anti everything else right wing bastards.

Unfortunately there isn’t research on any ‘side’ of this issue.

Do no harm is a good sentiment

That is a good article, thanks rb67. It concludes what I suspected was the case: that the medical profession are rushing into potentially damaging treatment of a disorder that is not well-defined or understood without significant evidence to demonstrate whether this is the best treatment path.

The fact that simultaneously, it has reached the public consciousness and that there is a sudden surge in young people being presented to doctors, means there is potential for great harm.

This is such a difficult topic. It may be that all this will go ahead and it will be accepted eventually that those who pushed ahead got it right. But there are already some indications that suggest it could go the other way. It seems likely to me that the effects will likely be worse in the US than in the U.K. But if the NHS does go ahead, the risk of future lawsuits is enormous.

Emerence - are you really calling those who are anti-abortion 'Nazis'? If so, have a word with yourself. In any other context, that would be called out as hate speech.

Yeah, this group are apparently anti LGBT. Mind, anyone who speaks out about transing kids is considered anti LGBT, even though being anti transing kids is very pro-LGB ...as 'transing away the gay' is obviously homophobic. And if left alone to develop properly, most transkids turn out to simply be gay..where if shoved onto blockers and such, they very nearly ALL go onto cross sex hormones.

Is something I have been very worried about since discovering puberty blockers actually. Surely, if all other puberty related stuff is halted, the vital brain development that goes on during puberty is also halted. Which would definitely explain how near all kids on blockers do not change their minds, where those who are not on blockers do most of the time. The ones on blockers are stuck in a childlike state, both in body and in mind.

Absolutely chilling. A pioneer in his field is ousted because people think their personal beliefs matter more.
