Realised this today as part of another thread. Is there anyone here who would exclude a woman self-identifying as a man from their spaces and legal rights? I wouldn't.

One of the "tells" that a poster is an MRA using trans rights advocacy for nefarious purposes is when they say trans people they mean trans identified males. Never Trans identified females.

Ouchbirthhurted · 21/02/2018 00:30

I have rarely come across people using trans to mean people born female wanting to transition to male.

As I understand it the largest increase, and it is massive, among children and young people wanting to transition is that of girls and young women wishing to transition to boys and men.

I use the word trans to refer to both males and females. I have different concerns associated with each though.

Ugh, wrong thread. I have too many windows open at once.

Sorry.

This group also contains the highest frequency of detransitioners. TIFs are more likely to find peace with their female body after experimenting with trans.
They also lack the aggressive determination to barge in on men's spaces while they are trans...

I would never exclude a TIF from a Women's only space.

TRA is always all about the born males.

BarrackerBarmer · 21/02/2018 11:12

I include TIFs in female rights.
If a TIF passes well enough and wants to use male loos, that's for her and the men to sort out. Tifs welcome in female spaces though.
As for stats, gynaecological services, prisons, etc? In the female section.
Sports would depend upon testosterone doping.

Babieseverywhere · 21/02/2018 11:28

I include Tim's in women rights...they are biological woman.

However if they have chosen to modify their bodies so much they will frighten women in a women's only space aka They fully pass 100% (which is very rare). Then it is their responsibility to explain this to the other women present, when they enter women only space.

Babieseverywhere · 21/02/2018 11:30

That said I can not see a TIF, behaving in a worrying way in a women only space.

Babieseverywhere · 21/02/2018 11:31

Tim's not Tim's...arghhh. I can not spell today. I give up.

Babieseverywhere · 21/02/2018 11:32

Tif's

nauticant · 21/02/2018 11:49

Sorry Babieseverywhere but I did enjoy your run of posts just above.

Babieseverywhere · 21/02/2018 12:02

Lol, it was funny. Why those words autocorrect as they do...is amusing.

Myunicornfliessideways · 21/02/2018 12:15

Babies that's very succinct and exactly how I feel. TIFs are biological women, toilets/changing rooms/hospital wards/smear tests, absolutely no concerns at all however they choose to present. I'm all for women stretching the boundaries of gender presentation. I particularly agree with your if they have chosen to modify their body to the point confusion arises then they can simply explain that.

Its about wanting to share vulnerable spaces with the same sex however they present, not on who is today expressing feminine stereotypes (which would be me out for a start.)

I've never met a TERF either. Apart from which, there is no such thing as a TERF. Despite what the TRA lobby would have you believe (and a number of newspapers have bought into this illusion as its so convincingly expressed) there is no group anyway identifying or naming themselves as Trans Exclusionary, and many women here wouldn't necessarily say they were proponents of radical feminism. It's a made up word with no actual definition, you might as well call people MIPS or JUFS, and it basically translates as 'uppity woman who won't shut up and do as told by TIMs'. Its about in the same league as the guy in the bar who calls you frigid because you won't give him sex on demand.

Myunicornfliessideways · 21/02/2018 12:16

Actually now stuck on happy fantasies of this underground secret mob of mythical women, somewhat like the Lost Legion or the sleeping Knights of the Round Table under a hill somewhere, or the Loch Ness Monster......
