Gabriel Byrne on #metoo

I can't link but on twitter there's a post from @RTEone with a snippet of an interview with Byrne - in contrast to his friend Liam Neeson stating #metoo has gone too far/is a witch hunt, Byrne states it's not gone far enough.

You can see the interviewer trying to couch the question (to me) in a way that is leaning towards Neeson's position but Byrne firmly disagrees.

He looks to be a good ally seeing this small snippet.

I lived near his sister when I lived in Ireland. There was a bit of a scandal involving an affair with the actress Ellen Barkin, whom he left his partner of ten years for.

Apparently he has left her now and is a dad again at 67 with someone much younger apparently.

Me too Judas, my heart sank and then cheered again!

Was he on the Late Late? Wouldn’t surprise me if Tubridy was trying to lead him.
