Twitter lists

I’m sure you all know this already but if you’ve been added to a list on Twitter, you just need to go and block whoever added you and it automatically removes you again. You can immediately unblock them again if you want.

Hope that helps someone.

Happy twittering folks.

How do I know if I've been added to a list?

It comes up on your notifications saying x added you to a list.

Go to your profile, click under your profile image, and click 'lists' from the drop down menu.
On the lists page there are 2 tabs near the top right of the page, 'lists I created' and 'lists I'm on'.

Thanks for that. I was added to a "Piece of shit" list of "Probable White Supremacists". IIRC, it was following my commenting that women don't have dicks. Unfortunately it was weeks back so finding the notification to see who added me might be difficult. Great to know, though.

OldmanOfTheWeb · 16/02/2018 12:40

Never mind. UpstartCrow's post helped me find the list and I recognized the name of the list creator. Have blocked them and I'm no longer showing as on the list.

Thank you very much, both!

Also, I'm not a White Supremacist just so you all know!

UpstartCrow · 16/02/2018 13:01

LOL, I ended up on a list called 'cunts' for saying women don't have dicks Grin

sexnotgender · 16/02/2018 13:15

I ended up on a misogynist (the irony!) and a random horrible person list.

I believe it was after saying that the man breastfeeding was child abuse and that trans was a cult. I’ll happily stand by both of them!

I hate lists - it's such a passive aggressive thing to do - "x has added you to list "cunts""

BetsyM00 · 16/02/2018 13:49

I was on a list for Bad Parents Who Should Be Removed from Their Children.

Which was weird as I don't talk about my family on Twitter, and had never interacted with the list maker. It rather upset me, disagree with me by all means, but why involve someone's kids? It also wasn't clear on the method of removal...

Twitter is a strange world.
