TRAs are just upset about semantics?

It seems that the crux of a lot of arguments is in how transwomen and their supporters are trying to define what a woman is.

To me, a woman is: a human, adult female.

To them, a woman is a feeling - a feeling which no one can describe as it turns out.

They are arguing about words and they don't like words which plainly describe what they are - men who wish they had been born female and so they dress and live like women.

Saying this is akin to death threats, apparently. I am a patient person, but I really am reaching the end of my tether with circular arguments, gaslighting, chants of "transwomen are women"

I have noticed that it is primarily young people who shout loudest and shut down debate, which is worrying in and of itself. We are regressing by decades in just a few short years.

My opinion is that they are primarily concerned with making sure women cannot describe themselves in an accurate way, since that makes it utterly apparent that we are not the same as them.

Case in point: even if I don't call myself a woman, but instead an adult human female, they are apoplectic. If I mention MY biology, it is hate. The only acceptable position I am allowed to take is that I am identical to a biological male who calls himself a woman.

It isn't about their own self expression: it's about suppressing MINE so they can use me to their own advantage as if I was their personal narcissistic mirror.

IMO this is the crux of a lot of the TRA arguments. It's all about them being validated in the gender of their choice and they don't care who is thrown under the bus to achieve that aim.

And if there are any doubters that this will become policy and very 'real' to all our lives, pop along to Canada and search for what's happening there. Our language is being eroded slowly.

I utterly despise the fact that TIMs can say

"I am the same as you, because gender, I am coming in"

Whereas I am labelled a TERF, ciscum, witch, transphobe, hysterical for saying

"I am not like you, because sex, get out"

They are contrasting sides of an argument, yet one is considered hateful, and one is considered brave and exalting. Why? Why does gender identity, which is subjective and unverifiable, trump biological reality? And why is the ontology of woman up for demand, but not man?

Ego centric 2 year olds.

If you can control the words, you can control the thoughts. If you can destroy the meaning of a word, you destroy the distinction.

Incidentally, just because I saw it referenced, the notion that "Man" has to be reclaimed because it is gender exclusive is a very recent invention. Man and Mankind has traditionally been a synonym for humans right back to its Germanic roots. The US Constitution doesn't apply only to men!

Woman comes from roots meaning Wife-man and though it has been lost to time, the male equivalent would be Groman. I hate people trying to redefine English for political purposes.

They have managed to put themselves on a pedestal. Kids come out as trans coz that's cool. That's in. That's supported. Homosexual, meh whatever. At the same time they have victimized themselves like no other group ever. Disagree with them = literal violence.

The first time I saw these lost angry narcissists call women 'cunt scum', the game was up right then as far as I was concerned.

It's supposed to illustrate that as far as TRAs are concerned, the only rule is that they get to make, apply and ignore the rules as it suits them.

The argumen always comes down to the mantra transwomenarewomen.

People reciting it don't really believe it but their need to be seen as virtuous and right on is greater than their need to protect women and girls rights.

This is why critical voices are blocked and there is no debate only indoctrination and emotional blackmail. Transwomen are not the same as women, they are men who want to be seen as women and that is not even nearly the same. The world used to know this.

The fact that they feel the need to bang on about it so much shows that they know it isn’t actually true.

Yes if they actually believed it they wouldn't faint at someone using the wrong right pronoun.

I think barracker's picture is spot on. TRA want transwomen to be recognised as exactly the same as women. Of course they know that they're not because biology, so they have gone to great lengths to declare that biology is meaningless. Or in many cases they have challenged and redefined biology.

It's all about preventing women from naming and defining ourselves. It's female erasure.
