RE The former prison guard's story, the thing is, prisons are full of men like that. There are also lots of people in for random lesser offenses, but every prison will have some genuinely terrifying men in it. Giving them a group of women who're forced to interact with them is like ringing the dinner bell. Pro trans people keep arguing about the human rights of prisoners who say they're women, but what about the human rights of the people who work in prisons? Why are their unions not protecting them?
(Because they're fucking cowards, appears to be the answer.)
