What a woman! Brilliant story and I'm so pleased she is still alive and able to tell it.

How lovely. Such wonderful memories for her. What a star in the clouds.

Perhaps she might read this thread, I hope so. I walked behind a young woman pilot just last year, she was in front of me in the plane to our destination, and felt such pride for her. She looked so smart in her uniform and was so full of confidence that I thought it might just be infectious.

She's been given the freedom of the Isle of Wight, and she managed the airport there for 20 years! Amazing woman
