Transwoman BFs baby for 6 weeks

No mention of the actual mother. Given the well documented narcisistic tendencies of many transwomen are mothers going to be bullied out of BFing now so transwomen can use babies to validate their delusions.

And what of the baby's health - the drugs used to stimulate milk in the trans woman come through in the milk - what is the effect of this?

We know milk is not just food but medicine. Even if a trans woman van produce milk with drugs to stimulate it - is their body working with the baby's to support their immune system like it would from the mother?

How fucking selfish do you have to be, to experiment on a baby like this.

What the actual fuck.

I didn't think it was possible to peak trans any more.

AssassinatedBeauty · 10/02/2018 13:13

Whether or not the mother wanted to breastfeed is not the main ethical issue for me. If she chose not to breastfeed then the baby should have had formula milk, rather than be subject to this experimentation.

Ereshkigal · 10/02/2018 13:19

am starting to feel like I'm in an episode of Black Mirror, this is starting to be so horribly wrong it just feels like madness. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

Ereshkigal · 10/02/2018 13:19

Sorry posted before I said how much I agree!

Ekphrasis · 10/02/2018 13:24

I'm pretty horrified that this is a thing. And agree with points that there's no mention of the mother not the thoughts for the child.

I do know of a woman who had this drug. I've not got the time to wade through it but this is it on lactmed (which by the way is an awesome resource).

That's a really good point about the independent verification that this actually happened, barracker. I've just finished reading Emma Donoghue's "The Wonder" about a girl who, it is claimed, does not eat and so is a religious miracle. I've had a sudden lightbulb moment that this could well be yet another example of the cultish, religious dogma of trans activism - why could it not be claiming "miracles" that haven't actually happened? We already have:

Belief in souls (gender identity)
Huge interest in identifying and casting out heretics and apostates (eg purging the labour party of gender critical women)
Belief in transubstanatiation (a male can literally become a woman, like the bread and wine becoming the body and blood of Jesus)
Requirement for people to mindlessly repeat slogans until they believe them (transwomen ARE women is really a mantra, or a prayer)
Validating internal feelings over external objective reality
Ascribing measurable value to the sincerity with which a belief is held
Thou shalt have no other God than me (#nodebate)

Bloody hell, I could go on and on but I'm starting to sound tinfoil hat so I will stop there.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 10/02/2018 13:34

I'm lost for words. This is dreadful.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 10/02/2018 13:38

Just when you thought you couldn't peak anymore, a new layer of batshit crops up and all of a sudden you're looking across a fucking mountain range of peaks.

This is fucking insane.

TammySwansonTwo · 10/02/2018 13:42

In fairness, I know lots of women who take domperidone to increase supply, especially those with multiples. It’s used for this purpose for female patients frequently.

Ekphrasis · 10/02/2018 13:46

I think that is a key point though tammy, used by women, who's breasts have been developing during pregnancy for as much as 42 weeks (in my case!) and are producing a little milk already.

No idea how much was needed by this TW but the link below explores different doses for these women (and women only) and the resulting impact on milk supply and infants.

BarrackerBarmer · 10/02/2018 13:51

I should mention, I used domperidone with my first child.
I'd be far more worried about the spirolactone.

That is, if I actually believed this happened.

BarrackerBarmer · 10/02/2018 13:52

*spironolactone, sorry

JackietheBackie · 10/02/2018 13:53

I had a new Dad tell me at a Postnatal visit that men could lactate and breastfeed their babies, but the feminist army would never let it happen as we liked to be in control. He wasn't transfer, just an enormous gaping asshole. I felt extremely sorry for his wife and daughter.

SophoclesTheFox · 10/02/2018 13:57

Setting aside the domperidone, IIRC oestrogen levels plummet after birth and during breastfeeding, so the huge doses of estradiol he was taking is definitely out of the range of what would be normal to pass to a breast fed baby, surely? That should have been worried.

But I'm actually slightly comforted by the idea that this was a load of old shit, and actually the invisibilized mother of the child was secretly feeding it in the background, while telling her narcissistic monster of a partner and his ethic-free medical team that he was totally nailing it.

It's not like there was any kind of visible protocol or supervision from what I can make out. Would have been super easy to fake.

BrownLiverSpot · 10/02/2018 13:58

I would have thought the risks outweigh the benefits.

Strongvegetables · 10/02/2018 14:00

This has angered me so much. My dh is looking at me like a crazy woman. I need to find a little hut some where isolated and self sufficient snd fuck off with my dds

BeyondTerfyCassandra · 10/02/2018 14:06

We've long surpassed Everest here, this is the Olympus Mons of peaking.

TheWizardofWas · 10/02/2018 14:07

Ethics are totally absent here. Can't be true. Am go smacked. If you wanted to do this surely you would produce the milk but not feed it untill copious safety tests had been done.

dontforgetto · 10/02/2018 14:13

And the baby who has been experimented on? Barely a thought in this article and presumably the whole experiment. Not able to consent for themselves and stuck with parents who put their own desires before the needs of their child? Applied in many parenting scenarios and this behaviour would be indicative that these parents are unfit to look after the child?

Gacapa · 10/02/2018 14:26

I'm wondering if this is actually true? Is there a chance it could be an elaborate hoax kind of thing, along the lines of Madigan saying transwomen can get pregnant?

Maybe I'm just wishful thinking. Because it is horrific. Sad

failingatlife · 10/02/2018 14:30

Just when I think I can't get any angrier I open yet a another thread that enrages meAngry

MissMoneyPlant · 10/02/2018 14:34

the benefits of breastfeeding to both parent and child, from lower rates of breast cancer in women who breastfeed, to a stronger infant immune system, and stronger parent-child bonding, have been well documented. While every mother may not choose to breastfeed, there’s much to be said for making sure those who want to are physically able to do so.

... But no, we'll stop the mother breastfeeding so the delusional father can get his kicks. Angry

I'm struggling to breathe at this altitude of peak trans...

Sophocles That is a brilliant list - it's so true, trans is a religion. A cult. And weirdly IME the same people who are normally athiest, super rational, looking at the science... are taken in by this cult.

I really hope this isn't real.

DickTERFin · 10/02/2018 14:37

I have often suspected that there are huge amounts of fantasy writing amongst this community. The screaming orgasms, the periods, the being able to get pregnant, the breastfeeding - it's just a "Letter to Santa" regarding what they wish to be true.

However, that doesn't undermine the level of harm that the indulgence in those fantasies could do to others - especially a baby.

LangCleg · 10/02/2018 14:49

I mean, honestly. What more evidence do you need that these unhinged narcissists and their medical enablers are now posing a serious risk to children? If this doesn't do it, what the fuck will?

SAFEGUARDING. SAFEGUARDING. SAFEGUARDING.

UpABitLate · 10/02/2018 15:09

"I had a new Dad tell me at a Postnatal visit that men could lactate and breastfeed their babies"

I have heard this before as well, before the trans stuff, I'll look it up.

Fact is though that women's breasts are there to do this, I started leaking when I was about 7 months with DD1, we were on hols and I woke up and the sheet was wet, I woke DH up as I was like, oh my god my waters have gone shit and then I thought no hold on maybe I wet myself in my sleep but it's too high up and doesn't smell right, and we were confused and a bit worried, and then I twigged. Of course no-one had told me that this was a possibility, at that point I thought the milk comes in after you've given birth... We know so little about our bodies around this, for lots of reasons, reasons which are not good.

Women BF are not "celebrated" in our culture, at all. Men BF will be though. Whole thing is just so grrrrr.
