No great surprises there. Unfortunately even if you can negotiate going back 3 days on your 40k salary you won’t find any other jobs out there advertised as part time in that salary range so you are stuck with your salary stagnating unless you are prepared to go back to full time or apply for full time and then try and negotiate lower hours if they offer you the job.

40k as an example. The same applies for 20k.
You may have got to a good level before kids, maybe earning about the same as your dh but as his increases yours doesn’t unless you are lucky enough to work in a company with x% pay rises for everyone.
