I would align myself with socialist, radical feminist ways of thinking on the whole. This means that loads of people don't agree with me. Some are angered, some not bothered, some agree. I imagine there isn't anyone who agrees with me all the time and guess what? I don't give a shit really. I'm interested in well reasoned debate and sometimes shift my views if I feel I'm in the wrong but I don't expect everybody to accept what I think and conform to my demands.

The lack of debate is fucking infuriating and shows their lack of a coherent argument.

They never answer difficult questions....and frequently run in, shout transphobe, then disappear without ever fucking engaging.

The closest I've come to a reasoned point of view was an activist telling me to use Google to answer any questions I have because it's not their job to educate me. Which made me wonder why they were being so vocal if they had no intention of making a persuasive argument.

Whenever someone tells me to Google it when I ask them a question about their position, I know that they don't have a valid argument.

Hmmm. Now that I think about it, I should report back only on answers that contradict the person's viewpoint.

BOTH sides need to engage in reasoned debate. I've seen so many comments from anti trans ladies simply dismissive or hypocritical of their own agenda towards anyone with genuine concerns for the protection of trans people, not just on MN but a good number still. I support womens rights as a women myself, not at the expense of bona fide transgender people. The reverse is true of course.

First off I don’t know if any one here who is ‘anti-trans’ yes there’s a lot of women who are anti self ID but that is an entirely separate issue. Most poster here support any one in expressing themselves however they want, wear lipstick and a dress and keep your willy if you want no body else’ business who you dress but that does not a woman make. Also ‘ladies’ for starters, you know there’s plenty of ‘gentlemen’ who object to the current trans agent agenda don’t you? And while we’re at it there’s plenty of transwomen who object to the current trans agenda too!
And define bone fida transgender... I. We could just do that then there’d be an end to a lot of the current dispute, problem is even the trans community can’t agree of that one

That could be a whole 'reasoned debate' (thread) in itself Badweek. What is 'bona fide'. What I have witnessed myself is even the basic right to live as you want from dressing, name and pronouns, safety and free of harassment is being compromised by the fighting over trans rights, even in the trans community itself (pre-op against post-op, full time against part time, etc.) Civilised or balanced debate is so scarce and does neither side any favours.

I've seen lots of articulate, reasoned and respectful views put forward on these boards and some trans people who've been willing to put forward their perspective honestly and openly but nothing close to reasonable from trans activists.

I'm done discussing the definition of what is a woman with a variety of agp men. Done discussing made up statistics about how they are raped every two minutes. Done with the whataboutery and whether women without a uterus are actually women and what about intersex people blah blah. Done done done with being called terf or fucking bigot.

Done too with reading about fake menstruation kits, fake dicks for kids. Done with reading about their obsession with passing and their love of fucking tights. Done pretending that that man is a woman or being polite about it. Done discussing what that feeling in a man's head is and being called cis.

Women don't actually owe these men any debate about this at all. Because absolutely everything they say is offensive bullshit that makes no sense. Which is exactly why they don't try and have these debates down the pub with other men
