DD (10) is peak trans

Just wanted to shate this little story with mumsnet (just a disclaimer that neither I or my children are transphobic)

In dd's (10) homework tonight about what she wanted to be when she grows up, she has written:

''Someday when I am an old male or female, I havnt decided yet, I would like to me an actress (or actor)...''
I'm going to have a little word but secretly it just made me laugh.

Also want advice as to whether I should make her rewrite it or let her hand it in?

Is she being tongue in cheek or serious?

How does that make her peak trans?

What do you mean? Of course she isnt being serious. But as she isnt being serious I will get her to rewrite it.

I meant exactly what I asked, was she being deliberately provocative or was she being serious in thinking she might be a male when she is older.

If the former, make her change it. Unless the teacher has been pushing some trans agenda then her homework isn’t the place to get cheeky about trans issues. It sounds like the homework had nothing to do with trans issues so why would she make a tongue in cheek comment about it?

If the latter, definitely set her straight! And still change the homework.

Maybe it isnt obvious from that one comment, just to me because I know her feelings and intentions etc.

It was a sarcastic jokey comment rather than her being serious, if that makes it more obvious

Thats pretty funny op. For 10 she has a cracking sense of humour.
