I am so fed up of all of us having to politely and proactively preface posts with disclaimers about how we also want for "true" transgender (aka the Currys and Pidgeons of this world) people to be able to get on with their lives in peace; how we accept them in our lives and how we have no beef with them - all to finally get to the point which is about the quite different kettle of fish that is MRAs/TRAs with their self-id steamrolling bullshit.

In no other sphere of conversation do we have to start off with disclaimers like this. I try to assume everyone is coming from a good place until and unless they reveal themselves not to be.

So it yanks my chain to see sensible, kind and intelligent women having to actually formally announce they aren't transphobic bullies, because why would anyone assume they were, given they are talking a different problem and group of people?

Gah. I know the circs mean we have to otherwise it ends up in a ridiculous "gotcha" from the activists and the SM megaphones, but still....

I think we need to coin the acronym NATALT...

I feel you OP. Someone linked a twitter account earlier who described themselves as a RudeFem. That's how I feel a lot of the time.

I have much respect for posters like Datun though who have endless patience in solidly refuting batshittery with clear and concise facts. I understand that it's important for lurkers and journalists who might be reading.

I agree about the disclaimers but to win this we probably for the most part have to go high when they go low.

Datun is, as somebody said elsewhere, a legend. Saying the same things, day in, day out, in an intelligent, accessible and measured way.
