Is Transgenderism just the natural progression from perceived equality?

Bear with me, I’ve had a shit of a day so this might be garbled.

I reached peak trans a good few years ago now, mainly thanks to the wonderful women here but also through becoming aware of the differences between the ‘old school’ transexuals (who just wanted to approximate womanhood and largely get on with their lives) and the new cohort of Transgenders, made up (as far as I have seen) of middle aged AGPs and narcissistic millennials.

It occurred to me earlier that this latest push to actually appropriate our spaces, our sexuality, our experiences etc its likely a backlash to the fact that for the first time ever we were approaching something like equality. There was an awful twitter thread earlier (piers Morgan) where so many people were decrying feminism as man hating harpies wanting, not equality, but dominion over men.

I’m convinced now that this whole travesty is simply a push back. We’ve taken too much, we’re dangerously close to mattering, so the men are taking it all back. The women who complain about this are dismissed as vile hateful TERFs because how fucking dare we moan about the men taking back what was theirs all along.

I’m starting to feel that we’re fucked no matter what we do. I’m still fighting because this is the hill I will die on but it’s fucking relentless.

I think it is the result of 40 years of backlash and post modernism that has been moving us from governing based on material reality to governing based on beliefs that no one actually believes.
There have been periods in history where women were methodically erased from the written record in order to support men's beliefs. We are living in one of those times.

They are as outraged as anyone else at who they are being lumped with, who decades ago would just be seen as gay men who dress up occasionally.

They are going to have to speak up then. I'm having the same conversation with the trans people I know.

I realise speaking up is not easy. So do women, who are being threatened, stalked, doxxed, reported to employers and even punched in the street.

If the silent majority of trans people are really against all this then they are going to have to make themselves heard if they don't want to be lumped in with it. Because women are in an existential fight.

They assume someone must have checked it out to make sure it actually makes sense.

There have been multiple posters like that here, insisting that things that have already happened will never happen because sensible people wouldn't let them. I'm never sure if it's the go along and fake it till you make it thing or if they're lying to support a very knowing agenda. Depends on the person probably.

This is 100% backlash. It's not an accident that MRAs are deeply embedded in trans activism. The attempt to sell porn and prostitution as "empowering" is part of the same backlash. COINTELPRO was the last time we saw anything like this.
