On My Stealthy Freedom on twitter:

Vida Movahed is the 31 year old woman who took off her hijab in public and waved it as a flag of freedom for women in Iran. She is missing after arrest. She has a 19-month old baby.

The My Stealthy Freedom movement is asking for help from the international community.

I'm not on Twitter but the hashtag is #WhereIsShe

Have tweeted it. Very worrying.

I’m so angry, but not unsurprised by Labour’s position on Iran. This should be a case of solidarity in the internationalist spirit of supporting oppressed. Labour refuse to condemn the beating of these brave and righteous protestors. I’m very troubled about this young woman, and I can’t believe the party is turning their backs. We know why, but it doesn’t make it any easier to swallow.

That poor woman. She is so incredibly brave. I hope this campaign to find her goes viral.

PracticallyTerfectInEveryWay · 26/01/2018 14:13

She is incredibly brave. I don't think I could have done what she did.

I am in agreement with My Stealthy Freedom who get very angry about some Western women's attitudes to hijabs and other coverings when they don't have to wear them, and how some Western women are so vocal about Donald Trump but somehow don't find the same energy to constantly complain about really oppressive regimes' treatment of women.
