So I’ve donated to the Jennifer James go fund me. And posted that I had on Facebook.

I’ve had a reply of Wow that's not bigoted at all is it? Trans women who identify as female are female aren't they?

So far my reply is
No, no they’re not. They are trans women and they should be proud of that. But they will never be women. Actually I’m surprised at you commenting on this considering your job. Do you really want people identifying as female but with intact penii housed with vulnerable women many of whom will have experienced sexual abuse through their lives?

Do you really see no risk in this?

I wouldn’t have wasted my breath with that reply, tbh.

I’d have just asked what they understand by the word “female”.

The argument is that 'cis' and 'trans' are both types of women. But then what is this abstract 'womanness' that they have in common? Not biology. Not a deep identification with being female (a lot of born women don't have that). And not socially-conditioned things like clothing. So what is it that makes transwomen women?
